My Havanese is frantic during thunderstorms and fireworks. He tries to dig to China, and runs around our house banging on all the doors…all doors had to be open, including the pantry and basement door. He would bang on them until we left them open. He would still cower in the corner after all that and shake. It was terrible.
I tried a different brand of calming chew and they smelled so bad, he wouldn’t eat them. One of my friends use these, so I ordered a bag. What a difference! He calmed down and just chilled on the couch. He perked up when the fireworks started, but remained on the couch. Once they were over, he went to sleep.
