How to Use CBD Drops

How to Use CBD Drops
Along with gummies, supplements, and topicals, researchers and other experts often tout CBD oil as one of the most bright supplement options that’s safe.  Co-Director of McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research in Hamilton, Ontario, James MacKillop, told the New York Times, “It’s promising...because it’s relatively safe.” While the popular cannabinoid has various ways to use the product from CBD teas, lotions, even sunscreen, the most efficient way to deliver CBD for the best results tends to be with a dropper for CBD oil. Though, mastering how to use CBD drops can be tricky.  Here’s what you need to know about using CBD drops.

4 Easy Steps to Take CBD Drops

To take a CBD drop, follow these steps:
  • Load up one dropper full depending on your choice of serving size.
  • Put the CBD oil drops under your tongue. Try not to touch your mouth or tongue with the dropper as the bacteria from your mouth can be transferred back into the bottle.
  • Leave the drops under for 30-90 seconds to give it time to absorb.
  • Swallow the drops.
At Medterra, we recommend consuming the CBD oil in the morning and night, depending on what effects you’re looking to achieve. Also, each of our CBD oil bottles contains 30, 1mL servings in a one-ounce bottle. Our dropper applicators have measurement markers that range from 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1mL to help with dosage accuracy and flexibility.  All of our CBD products are grown and extracted in America, with most products grown in Kentucky following the Kentucky Department of Agricultural Industrial Hemp Pilot Program.

This Is My First Time Using CBD Drops. How Many Drops of CBD Oil Should I Take?

If this is your first time taking CBD drops, starting with a low dosage and lower strength to understand how your body reacts.  The right amount depends on numerous factors like:
  • Bodyweight
  • Body chemistry
  • Specific condition you’re treating
  • The concentration of CBD in the product you’re taking
If you’re comfortable with a smaller dosage, slowly start to increase your intake until you feel that it’s effectively treating your body.  However, before trying CBD, talk to your doctor about an ideal dosage for you.

Here Are the Common CBD Drops Effects

Stress

Shoulders tense? Always on a deadline? Or stress headaches? You’re not alone. Life can turn into a ball of tension and nerves. Luckily, research has shown that doses of 300 mg to 600 mg of CBD can reduce stress. There’s also research to show that CBD may improve serotonin levels in the brain that play a role in mood, sleep, behavior, and digestion.

Physical Discomfort

If you suffer from physical discomfort, CBD drops may be an option for you. In 2017, a study found that CBD was effective for discomfort management. People with physical discomfort often have stress that goes along with it, so CBD can be very beneficial in restoring physical and mental balance.

Sleep

According to a 2016 survey, nearly 68% of Americans have regular trouble falling or staying asleep. If you or someone you know is in that 68% of Americans who have trouble sleeping, you’ve probably already tried every natural remedy.  In 2019, researchers discovered that patients that took CBD in the first month saw a 66.7% improvement in sleep While there’s no guarantee that this will cure your insomnia, CBD can help you relax, get comfy, and set the scene for an excellent snooze.

Not All CBD Drops Are Created Equal

Not all CBD oil drops are created equally. And, because researchers are still studying this industry, we are still learning about the pros and cons. When searching for CBD oil, it’s essential to do your own research on the company and quality of the CBD oil you’re using.  Be sure to consult your doctor who can help make recommendations on using CBD drops and what types to use.
